Robert Borbidge AO, born 12 August 1954 in Ararat, Victoria, and with his family moved to Queensland in 1977. He was the 35th Premier of Queensland, and leader of the Queensland branch of the National Party. Rob Borbidge resigned from Parliament in March 2001 after nearly twenty years as MP for Surfers Paradise, on Queensland's Gold Coast. During this time he served as a Minister of the Crown in several portfolios, Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Leader of the Opposition and upon the re-election of a National Liberal Government, was sworn in as the 35th Premier of Queensland.
He has also served as a member of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) and as a delegate to the 1998 Constitutional Convention. Since leaving politics, Rob Borbidge has become a Senior Associate of Strategic Communications Australia, a Queensland based corporate relations company with offices in Brisbane and Jakarta. He is Chairman of Rotec Pty Ltd ACN 007 747 060, a Brisbane based engineering firm that is developing emission reduction technology for diesel engines. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Asia Pacific Space Centre. As well as Chairman of the Executive Task force for the Institute of Glycomics at Griffith University, Rob Borbidge is a trustee of the Friends of Griffith University Foundation (incorporated in the United States). Paul Hare has led a distinguished business career in Europe and Australia. His entrepreneurial experience in the finance marketplace is without parallel as he has created several businesses from concept to multi-million dollar turnover. Paul Hare provided operational direction to transplant the UK model of the Cash Converter chain to Europe. Through excellent training and strategic guidance of the franchisors and sub franchisors they experienced tremendous success which was largely due to his exceptional management skills. He proved to be the catalyst for Cash Converters international growth and was largely responsible the Australian parent company Cash Converters Australia to list on the London Stock Exchange.
In 2000 Paul Hare founded the Asset Loan Company with Russell Percival joining forces in 2002 prior to taking the company to a public listing on the ASX in November 11, 2004. Paul believes that he can make a difference, and he has a passion for making things happen. Yet he has a patience, self-confidence and optimism, to succeed in the face of uncertainty. Russell Percival is a dynamic executive with a proven track record of launching and building large operating businesses through his extensive retail and franchise background. He has strong skills in operations, negotiations, marketing and franchise relations. 
Russell Percival was born and bred Australian with a passion for people, business and sailing. His formative years were spent in Perth, Western Australia where he completed a Degree in Industrial Arts and also graduated as a Teacher in 1976 before forging a successful career as an Entrepreneur. After building many smaller businesses and numerous property transactions he went on to build large companies in Canada and Australia. He enjoys working with people with a passion for growth and achievement and assisting their growth through implementation of quality systems and processes and negotiating strategic acquisitions that enable success at both local and global levels. In 1995 Russell Percival moved to Canada to open the chain of Cash Converter stores with his enthusiasm and knowledge gaining rapid acceptance and seeing rapid expansion across Canada. Russell opened of 65 stores, in the first 4 years in Canada growing to an $80 million dollar turnover and employing over 500 people. Russell then returned to Australia were he commenced a private lending business which then joined forces with Paul Hare and they developed Asset Loan Co Pty Ltd which grew to became listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on November 11th 2004. He is still an Executive Director of Asset Loans Ltd . Russell Percival was both a Canadian and Australian member of the Chamber of Commerce, is a strong supporter of his local Rotary Club in Broadbeach and enjoys yachting, and water sports. The Broadbeach Rotary Club has Awarded Russell for his work as a business mentor and a team sponsor to the Merrimac State High school, ABW Enterprise Education. Russell Percival has achieved this award three years in succession as he coached and mentored high school students in a computer simulation that modelled the building and marketing of a chain of hotels.
